Honiss School Teacher of the Year - Mrs. Meghann Flynn (Science 7/8) Congratulations to Mrs. Meghann Flynn who was recognized by the Dumont Board of Education as the Honiss School Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Flynn is a dedicated and innovative teacher, and is a trained NASA educator.

Middle School Field Day - Students vs. Teachers Kickball Game A grand time was had by all in the Tournament of Champions. The Orange team won the middle school division and the teachers won 4 -1 against their 8th graders.

New Jersey Council for the Social Studies honors 8th grader - Janyce Ntiamoah Congratulations to our 8th Grader, Janyce Ntiamoah who received the first-place student recognition award from the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies. This award is given to ONE middle school student from the seven counties in northern NJ. We are exceptionally proud of Janyce and all of her hard work and passion for social studies.
Honorable Mention in the Bergen County Poster Contest Andrew Rojas, a 4th Grader, received an honorable mention by the Bergen County Clerk for the 2022 My County Poster Contest. Andrew's artwork was selected out of 650 entries and will be featured in the Bergen County Calendar!
Honiss PTA - Annual Tricky Tray On Saturday, parents and students came out to support the annual Tricky Tray fundraiser. President Christine Bruno and her team planned a day of great carnival activities for students along with great basket prizes.
